Covenant

Blood is thicker than water. It means the family you’re born into is most important than all else. Right? Wrong. The original proverb goes a little differently. It actually says, “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” Meaning the blood shed on the proverbial battlefield bonds us more than simple genetics. Family is family.
