Covenant

Blood is thicker than water. It means the family you’re born into is most important than all else. Right? Wrong. The original proverb goes a little differently. It actually says, β€œThe blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” Meaning the blood shed on the proverbial battlefield bonds us more than simple genetics. Family is family.
